Job description

Key Duties and Responsibilities • Control and monitor access to NMEP facilities, verifying and documenting all visitors, contractors, staff and vehicles • Conduct security checks on persons, vehicles, bags and parcels entering or leaving the premises • Safeguard NMEP assets, equipment, supplies and restricted areas from theft, damage or unauthorised access • Perform regular patrols, monitor CCTV, alarms and other security systems, and ensure all gates, doors, windows and other access points are secured, particularly outside working hours • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms and distress calls, lead evacuation procedures and provide emergency assistance, including basic first aid, when required • Investigate, document and report security breaches and incidents, maintaining accurate visitor, vehicle movement and occurrence records and coordinating with law enforcement agencies where necessary • Identify security risks and recommend improvements to strengthen facility security Qualification Required & Experience • Minimum of a Senior High School (SHS) certificate or equivalent, a higher national diploma (HND) plus a certificate in security Management or a related field • Minimum of 2 years experience as a security officer or guard, preferably in a government in institution, public health facility or similar organisation • Experience with CCTV monitoring, access control systems or other electronic security equipment, and prior exposure to a programme environment with international partners, are an advantage Competencies • Sound knowledge of security procedures, access control and premises protection, preferably in a public institution or health facility setting • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to communicate in at least one Ghanaian language is an advantage • Ability to respond calmly, decisively and effectively to security incidents and emergencies • Competence in maintaining clear, accurate and timely security logs, registers and occurence reports Location: Accra How To Apply For The Job Interested persons who meet the above requirements should submit 4 copies of their applications, supported by a curriculum vitae (including the names and contact details of referees and copies of academic and professional certificates to: The Director Human Resource Development Directorate Ghana Health Service Private Mail Bag, Ministries Accra The post Security Officer at Ghana Health Service appeared first on Jobweb Ghana .
