Director of Human Resource Management

Under the strategic supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Human Resource Management provides high-level direction, leadership and expert advice on human resource management. The successful candidate will hold overall operational responsibility for directing and managing personnel and human resource operations across the hospital Key Duties and Responsibilities Strategic HR leadership & Policy •Provide strategic direction for the development and overall management of human resources at KATH •Lead policy development, critical analysis and regular reviews concerning human resource management. •Contribute to the formulation and execution of KATH’s medium and long-term institutional plans •Lead the development of institutional HR guidelines, operational protocols and employee incentive/welfare packages Operational Management & Executive Support •Advise and provide comprehensive technical and administrative support to the Chief Executive regarding workforce planning recruitment, staff placement, development and retention •Establish, optimize and maintain a secure, comprehensive human resource information system (HRIS) database for the hospital •Lead the continuous monitoring and evaluation of HR performance metrics, workflows and organisational structures •Oversee the preparation of the annual HR departmental budget, operational reports and other specialized briefs as requested by the Chief Executive Officer. Training & Talent Development •Spearhead the design and execution of robust in-service and post-basic training initiatives •Contribute directly to the improvement and alignment of pre-service training programmes •Coordinate and manage fellowship awards, study leaves and professional development opportunities for KATH staff Qualification Required & Experience •Must be a Senior Professional currently on the payroll of the Government of Ghana, possessing at least 5 years of active experience at the level of Principal Human Resource Manager or above •Hold a postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management (Master’s Degree or its equivalent/higher). •Must be a registered member in good standing with a relevant, recognised professional body Experience & Core Competencies •A minimum of 12 years of dedicated working experience in Human Resources, including at least 5 years of post-graduate qualification experience in a clear management or supervisory position •Demonstrated track record of exemplary leadership, continuous professional development and advanced management training Tenure & Appointment Conditions •This is a top-level appointment with a fixed-term engagement of 4 years •Candidates must be able to complete one full four-year term in office before reaching the statutory retirement age Location: Accra How To Apply For The Job Qualified and interested candidates are requested to submit a comprehensive application package containing 7 copies of: •A formal application letter •A detailed and up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) •Contact details of 3 professional referees who are willing to provide confidential reports •A vision statement for the role not exceeding 1,200 words Applications must reach the address below: The Chief Executive Officer Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital P.O.Box 1934 Kumasi, Ghana Closing Date: 31 October, 2026 The post Director of Human Resource Management at Komfo Ankye Teaching Hospital appeared first on Jobweb Ghana .
