Job Description Job Title: Estimator Location: Tarkwa, Ghana Department: Technical/Operations Reports To: Operations Manager / Managing Director Job Summary The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for roofing projects. The role involves measuring project requirements, calculating material quantities, estimating labour and equipment costs, and ensuring that quotations are competitive, accurate, and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities • Conduct site visits to take accurate roof measurements and assess project requirements. • Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for roofing projects. • Calculate material quantities, labour requirements, and other project costs. • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings. • Liaise with clients to clarify project specifications and requirements. • Coordinate with the production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure estimate accuracy. • Monitor material prices and update cost databases regularly. • Assist in preparing tenders and project bids. • Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and pricing policies. • Maintain records of estimates, quotations, and project documentation. • Provide technical support to the sales team when required. • Perform any other duties assigned by management. Qualifications • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field. • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or construction. • Experience in the roofing or building materials industry is an advantage.
